Mixtape Review: @PhillyBlocks "Kapo Musik"

I checked out Philly Blocks @PhillyBlocks "Kapo Musik" mixtape on datpiff.com today.

I want to start off by saying, the MIX could have been BETTER. Quality is everything.

If I was going off of the intro, I would have thought it was setting the tone for a classic tape. The first three tracks, "Love Me Back, "King of The West End", & "Welcome To The Jungle" held my attention, while "The Old You" lost me.. "The Old You" sounded like a knock off Rick Ross track to me. Not a good look.

"We Riders" is a nice track for the streets! That's something I would ride to.. "Coogi Man" was produced by my homie from Memphis, Drumma Drama, but it was one of the tracks I liked the least..

The mixtape regained my attention with tracks like "Make or Break Me" & "Ambition", "Momma".. Ambition is single worthy! Go for it!

I would give the mixtape a B- without tracks like, "We Rollin", "Coogi Man", & "The Old You".

Overall, I think the tape is solid. It's a different sound from what I usually hear because I'm from Atlanta. But the lyrics are there, the tracks are nice, & I could hear the passion in his voice in most of the tracks.
